Lost and Found

Jeremiah 29:12-13 ~

Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

Have you ever lost your way? Maybe you’re on a road trip or in a large crowd and lose your surroundings. Being lost can leave you helpless and afraid. But the beauty of being lost is that there is always an opportunity to be found. God rejoices when we are found because we are of great value to Him. Jesus gave us three parables that explain our value to Him. With the parables of the lost coin, the lost sheep, and the lost son in Luke 15, Jesus shows how the characters in each of these stories go to incredible lengths to find their beloved possession or person that is lost. These stories paint a beautiful picture of God’s love as patient, relentless, and eternal. There is never a moment in your life that you could go so far that the love of God cannot find you. How do you respond to this kind of love? Do you seek God with the same urgency and determination? The fact that we belong to God should push us to seek Him as well. Jeremiah 29:12-13 teaches that if we seek God with all of our heart, we will find Him. Guaranteed! That is a promise that can never be broken. Pray, thanking God for His faithful love and make a choice today to seek Him.
